After Capture, Print
Once the image has been captured, it is necessary to select the output medium, canvas or paper.
Canvas choices
Choose from two truly water resistant canvases:
- AKA alive — a premium and fully archival cotton-poly blend
No Optical Brighteners - AKA select — a long life lower-cost canvas option; also a cotton-poly blend.
With optimal brighteners... This one is a high performer.
Treat your canvas right
Canvas prints are fragile and vulnerable to damage until a protective coating is properly applied. My 2-step process starts with a truly paint-able isolation coat and then, either a fully Reversible Varnish with UV protection, or a controlled UV Sheen Altering product. These materials have proven to be washable, reversible and totally flexible for a tight stretch without sagging, cracking or the image running due to dissolving ink.
If you must ship the canvas print rolled in a tube then make absolutely sure that it is properly coated and trimmed to avoid a dissatisfied customer. I also offer lessons and advice for artists who want to do their own finishing. Stretching is also available with several different profiles and edge treatments.
Paper choices
- Textured Water colour paper — a natural OBA free product
- Sommerset Velvet
- economy matte
The choices of paper are too numerous to list all of them here. Please come to visit my home-based studio and let me help you make the best choice for your work.
Larger and installation pieces
